ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Civil Engineers convert complex ideas into realities., Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings Civil Engineers are involved in all aspects of community infrastructure, housing and constructions. Civil Engineers serve in three areas of activity, namely, Designing, Construction and Maintenance. In addition, Civil Engineers safeguard the environment against pollution of air, land and water, by implementing proper treatment techniques and managing the natural resources for future generation. If you are fascinated by the great structures and amazed by the way they are built, then a degree in Civil Engineer Is a must for you. A Civil Engineer Student at PAAVAI is trained with the skill of building the world with proper attitude, love and enthusiasm and provided with a life style in harmony with environment.
SCOPE
Civil engineers are employed in all the major construction projects carried out by the state or central government the public works departments, the railways and military. Civil Engineers are mostly required in private construction and real estate companies as project engineers. Civil Engineers also employed in various industries to design the structures related to these industries. Civil engineering graduates can also go in for research and take up teaching or they can open their own independent consultancy services and the important international companies include VINCI, SIEPAN, CCCC, and Indian companies like DLF, L&T,NCC etc.

ACTIVITIES
The department is including various value added courses for the benefit of the students. The students are participating regularly in various co-curricular activities which include technical paper presentation, technical quiz, workshops and CAD contest.
